 Synopsis
Sorry We Missed You is a 2019 British-French-Belgian drama film directed by Ken Loach, written by Paul Laverty and produced by Rebecca O'Brien. The story is about a family struggling to make ends meet following the 2008 financial crisis. The film was shot mainly in the Newcastle area. It was selected to compete in the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. Despite having an injury, Loach aggressively promoted the film at Cannes, where he said that it would be his final film to compete at the festival. It received the audience award for best European film at the 2019 San Sebastián International Film Festival. Sorry We Missed You is directed by Ken Loach and was released on Mar 6th, 2020.
