 Synopsis
Asian superstar Jackie Chan and Stanley Tong proudly present their 6th collaborative work via the action movie Vanguard. Tong directs, writes, and co-produces the film. Chan is joined by Chinese actors Yang Yang, Zhu Zhengting, and Miya Muqi. China Film, International Media Co., and China Film Group Corporation produced the movie. The production team went to Dubai and Taiwan to shoot the film. It was said that Chan almost drowned in one of the action scenes. The movie’s January 25, 2020 release date was deferred because of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak. Its international release was also delayed pending its release in China, which is dictated by certain regulations. Vanguard is directed by Stanley Tong and was released on Nov 20th, 2020.
