The Worst of 2016: Films That Didn’t Live Up To High Expectations

Hail, Ceasar! (Ethan & Joel Coen)

Why we didn’t like it: The Coen Brothers had something to make up for, after they wrote the script for Angelina Jolie’s horrific war drama ‘Unbroken’. Disappointedly, they delivered what is probably the worst movie of their career. It isn’t necessarily bad; it looks gorgeous and it’s still the Coens behind the camera. But this 1950’s Hollywood Conspiracy Screwball Parody is just as light as a feather. Barely funny, utterly forgettable.
