Boardwalk Empire (2010-2014)

Prohibition does little to slow business in Atlantic City where such rules don’t seem to exist. Enoch “Nucky” Thompson holds the most control as a political power player and tough gangster, running the city through lines both legal and illegal. Running the biggest booze racket in the city, Nucky soon clashes with other powerful gangster figures in this historical crime drama.

A miraculous and apocalyptic event has occurred when 140 million people vanish from the planet instantly. The remaining people find themselves torn with grief and despair as they struggle to maintain their lives when cults and corruption crop up in this supernatural mystery based on the best-selling novel by Tom Perrotta.

Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories (2016-)

Meshiya, aka Midnight Diner, is a small diner nestled within the back alley of a busy street. Though only open in the dead of night, the place attracts several customers who come for the food but stay for the wisdom of the diner’s owner known as Master in this Japanese anthology series.

Easy (2016-)

Chicago is the setting for a number of quirky stories about romance in this anthology series created by Joe Swanberg. The show follows several stories of love that range from married couples trying to put some spice back into their love life to middle-age people just trying to get back in the dating game.
