The (almost) definitive 2016 round-up: 23 movies that truly stood out this year

Don’t Breathe

The horror/thriller genre successfully tapped into the something new this year – disabilities. First there was the Netflix thriller Hush about a deaf woman who gets a visit from a psychopathic murderer, and then there was the even better Dont Breathe about three young burglars who try to rob a blind veteran. As you can guess they really come to regret. Edge of your seat stuff for sure.
