A Bigger Splash

Italian director Luca Guadagnino continued his unlikely collaboration with Tilda Swinton, and together they created this sensual and funny retake on La Piscine. Just as much a hothouse as La Piscine, the film oozes summer, and although it is set in beautiful surroundings, it is the interpersonal psychodrama that impresses, and often amuses. The fun mostly comes from a wildly energetic, loving-life music producer played by Ralph Fiennes.
