This is one of those horror movies that has received much critical appraise, but did not see this reflected in its box office results. In fact, some people argue that good reviews are not good for the commercial success of horror flicks. We found The Witch a piece of art, and terrifying as hell. But indeed on a deeper level than most horror flicks aim for.
