Home is one of those rare coming-of-age flicks that truly captures the spirit of the youth of today. Partly filmed on a smart phone, this movie tells the poignant story of a bunch of Flemish teenagers struggling with their parents’ authority. Things get worse when a recently released youth delinquent arrives in town. Backed by Johnny Jewel’s pulsing synth soundtrack, Home is a thrilling and depressing portrayal of contemporary teenage life.
