After the success of Orange is the New Black, there’s a new brilliant female-centric show. Like OITNB, GLOW takes place in a very particular women’s world; Los Angeles’ professional wrestling circuit of the mid-1980’s. In fact, GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) really existed.  The shows evolves around an ensemble of wrestlers; colorful women who joined the circuit for a broad variety reasons. GLOW is often flat-out hilarious and has a great retro 80’s look. Everyone who thinks that OITNB has past it heydays; you are in for a treat.
