Alright, strictly speaking, Twin Peaks isn’t a new TV show. But given the fact that there’s a quarter century in between the second and third season, we thought it would be legit to squeeze this one in. Twin Peaks: The Return was easily the most talked-about thing happening in television this year. The thing is; we’re still not entirely sure whether it was worth the wait. The third season of David Lynch & Mark Frost’s beloved cult series is even more elusive, up to a point that we were often wondering where we were looking at. It sometimes felt like Lynch and Frost threw in a whole bunch of bizarre ingredients just for the sake of it. As long as you keep it weird, most people will say it’s brilliant anyway. But at the same time, we were often blown away by the show’s completely singular atmosphere and imagery.
