Synopsis
Rupert Goold takes on the challenge of directing the movie adaptation of End of the Rainbow by Peter Quitler, and focused on the life of Hollywood legend, Judy Garland. Renee Zellweger portrays Garland and was met with resounding praise for her performance. She already took home several Best Actress awards for her portrayal, and earned her a Screen Actor’s Guild and Golden Globes nomination. The biographical drama was screened at the Telluride Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival before it was released in theaters. The film grossed USD 37.8 million.
