Synopsis
The film is directed by Costa-Garvas and his first to be shot in Greece. It is based on the book of the same title by Yanis Varoufakis about the 2015 Greek bailout based on Varousfakis’ memoirs of the 2015 economic crisis that nearly brought Greece into ruin and the steps the government took to get out. The film is an entry in the 76th Venice International Film Festival. It has an international cast starring Christos Loulis, Alexandros Bourdomis, Ulrich Tukur, Daan Schurmans, and Valeria Golino, among others. The producers are Brahim Chioua, Alexandre Garvas, and Manos Krezias. Kostas Lambropoulos and Giorgos Kyriakos are the executive producers.
