For everyone who has the slightest interest in cinema, watching P.T. Anderson’s Phantom Thread was a bittersweet affair. At the age of 62, lead actor Daniel Day-Lewis announced that this movie would be his swan song.  Day-Lewis, portraying an eccentric 1950’s fashion designer falling in love with a waitress, is at the top of his game in this beautifully designed and wickedly intoxicating film.
