Disobedience

Rachel Weisz is Ronit, a successful, secular Jewish-British photographer living in New York. When she finds out her rabbi father has died, she returns to her Orthodox community in London. Soon after her arrival, she and a female childhood friend meet again, which leads to a complicated affair. Directed by Chilean Sebastián Lelio (A Fantastic Woman), this subtle and heartbreaking love story provides an interesting glimpse in a secluded religious culture.
