‘Holy Cow’ by David Duchovny

Without a doubt the weirdest book on this list, is David Duchovny’s debut novel Holy Cow. But it’s weird in a good way, mind you. Central in the book is Elsie Bovary, a cow who has just discovered something terrible is awaiting her(guess!). Together with her friends, a converted pig and a turkey who’s unable to fly, she flees her farm to find a better world. Hilarious and strange, but that might not surprise you from a guy who’s career was launched with one of the most memorable roles in cult series Twin Peaks.
