Synopsis
Known in Italy as Tre Piani (Three Floors), the story is about three families living in the same apartment in a neighborhood in Rome in separate units. On the first floor is a young couple grappling with the terrible suspicion that their elderly neighbor has abused their daughter and are conflicted on what to do about it. On the second floor, a mother of two children, whose husband is always away for work, fights off loneliness and the specter of madness, while on the third floor, a retired judge and widow looks back on her past with her husband, while listening to an old telephone answering machine.
