Synopsis
The story offers a beautiful rendition of the endowment of natural talent as it reflects the journey and experiences of a blind piano prodigy who faces hardships due to his disability, and a bubble tea store worker who is an aspiring dancer. The movie is directed by Chang Jung-chi and stars Sandrine Pinna and Huang Yu-siang. This film was supposed to be Taiwan’s entry to the 85th Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language category but did not make the final cut. Nonetheless, it has reaped numerous awards, winning in the 17th Busan International Film Festival, 13th Chinese Film Media Awards, 49th Golden Horse Awards, and the 2012 Taipei Film Festival. Touch of the Light is directed by Jung-chi Chang and was released on Sep 21st, 2012.
