It is the time of slavery within the deep south of North America. Africans have been enslaved and tortured by their oppressors, forcing many to make desperate attempts at escape. One such slave making a run for it is Cora, a young girl who believes there’s more to her life than slavery. She makes a miraculous discovery of something that could turn the tide for slaves seeking freedom. This dramatic period piece features the talents of Thuso Mbedu, Chase W. Dillon, and Joel Edgerton.
