Bo Burnham: Inside

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, comedian/performer Bo Burnham decided to lock himself in a small apartment with loads of recording equipment to compose a special all on his own. His solo variety show of sorts features satirical sketches and musical numbers focusing on online culture. Also present in the film are deeply personal logs about how much anxiety Burnham feels about performing and whether or not he desires to go back to a world with more interactions. The film is a brilliant encapsulation of the madness everyone felt during the lockdowns of 2020 with such memorable songs as “Welcome to the Internet” and “White Woman’s Instagram.”
