The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

Long before the events of Lord of the Rings and even The Hobbit, there was a grand war for the fate of Middle Earth. Set during the Second Age of Middle-earth, an evil that was thought to have been defeated has risen and the Dark Lord Sauron is rising to power. During this time, the legendary rings of power are forged as an alliance is formed between Elves and Men. The show is based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkein is being developed by J. D. Payne and Patrick McKay with one of the largest budgets ever amassed for a single season of a TV show. The huge ensemble cast includes Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, and Ismael Cruz Córdova among others.
