Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty

Based on the book Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s by Jeff Pearlman, this biographical sports drama follows the rise and fall of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team. It was a time where such notable athletes as Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar shined but also a rocky time of management and fame. The miniseries comes from director Adam McKay (Vice, The Big Short, Don’t Look Up) and will feature an all-star cast that includes John C. Reilly, Solomon Hughes, Jason Clarke, DeVaughn Nixon, Sally Field, Hadley Robinson, Gaby Hoffmann, Adrien Brody, Jason Segel, Tamera Tomakili, and Rob Morgan.
