Based on the Holocaust novel by New Zealand novelist Heather Morris, The Tattooist of Auschwitz follows the true story of Lale Sokolov. He was a Jewish prisoner of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, given the job of being the tattoo artist responsible for imprinting the ID numbers on the prisoners. Soon, he falls in love with one of the prisoners and World War II becomes tougher to get through with this tragic drama. This biographical TV series comes from director Tali Shalom-Ezer (Princess, My Days of Mercy) and stars Harvey Keitel, Anna Próchniak, Melanie Lynskey, Avital Lvova, and Mili Eshet.
